Position Summary
The Order Puller is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for order fulfillment by pulling items according to pick tickets or digital systems. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely order flow while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Order Picking & Fulfillment
- Accurately pull items from shelves, bins, or pallet locations based on pick tickets, work orders, or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, quantities, and locations to ensure correct order fulfillment.
- Stage completed orders in designated packing or shipping areas according to workflow requirements.
- Identify and report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
2. Equipment Operation
- Safely use warehouse tools and equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, RF scanners, and forklifts (if certified).
- Perform basic safety checks on equipment prior to use.
- Follow all equipment operation and safety guidelines.
3. Warehouse Support & Organization
- Maintain clean, organized aisles, shelves, and workstations.
- Restock shelves and bins as needed to support order flow.
- Follow warehouse layout systems to ensure proper product placement and accessibility.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to meet daily productivity and shipping deadlines.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications / Skills
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand for constant or prolonged periods (8 hours per shift).
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and handle materials.
Work Environment
- Warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
