JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Coordinator to coordinate outbound shipments from our manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all products are packaged, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping/receiving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Coordinate all outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing bills of lading, and ensuring compliance with customer and carrier requirements.
- Ensure all orders are properly packed, labeled, and staged for shipment.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to verify that all items are ready and meet quality standards before shipping.
- Collaborate with internal departments including but not limited to accounting, project management, technical support, and field installation/service.
- Communicate with freight carriers (LTL, FTL, parcel) to arrange and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory management systems accordingly.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, damage, and completeness.
- Work with customer service and logistics teams to resolve shipment issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to organize shipments and load trucks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures, freight classifications, and documentation.
- Familiarity with LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
- Experience using shipping software and ERP systems.
- Basic computer knowledge, including printing documents.
- Strong basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to convert decimals to fractions and read a tape measure to 1/16”.
- Basic reading and writing proficiency.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills including prioritizing duties.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment preferred.
