IT Infrastructure Manager

The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations that support the organization’s global freight forwarding activities. This role will involve managing hardware, networks, systems, and cloud platforms, while aligning IT infrastructure initiatives with business goals. The IT Infrastructure Manager will also be accountable for maintaining high system availability, data security, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic logistics and supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage the IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Ensure infrastructure security aligns with industry standards and company policies.
  • Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, C-TPAT, etc.) relevant to freight forwarding and logistics.
• Operational Support:
  • Support and maintain logistics applications (e.g., freight management systems, ERP platforms, customs software, EDI systems).
  • Coordinate with software vendors and service providers for system upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level technical support for escalated IT issues.
• Team & Vendor Management:
  • Lead and mentor a small IT operations team, providing guidance and training.
  • Manage relationships with external IT service providers and vendors.
  • Oversee procurement and lifecycle management of IT assets.
• Strategic Planning & Projects:
  • Develop and implement infrastructure strategies aligned with the company’s business growth.
  • Lead IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in logistics IT solutions and infrastructure trends.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred).
• 5 years of infrastructure management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity.
• Experience with logistics or freight forwarding systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EDI, ERP, WMS, and customs compliance platforms is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global business environment with multiple stakeholders.
