Responsibilities
- Hooking on cargoes in the hold for unloading and unhooking during loading onto the vessel.
- Understanding cargo stowage, dunnage & securing requirements.
- Proficient in Operating PIT’s stowing cargo on the vessel - Small Forklift or Yard Mule.
- Proficient with chain & chop saws.
- Proficient in securing cargo with lashings and carpentry & safely removing lashings/securements.
- Visually inspect the lifting gear.
- Maintain a clean work area.
