Proficient in basic math and computer skills for tallying and recordkeeping. Willingness to work extended hours, including holidays and weekends. Ability to read and write in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Capable of maintaining accurate counts and tallies.

Responsibilities
- Count, inspect, sort, identify, and record storage locations for all discharged cargo (from vessels).
- Count, inspect, sort, identify, and record stow locations for all cargo being loaded onto vessels.
- Load and unload trucks and rail cars.
- Receive and ship cargo to and from the yard.
- Load pipe trucks directly and sort cargo by purchase order, reference number, etc.
- Mark and measure cargo dimensions.
- Maintain written tallies and records.
- Utilize electronic equipment (tablet and scanner) for recordkeeping.
- Assist in training Checker I and II personnel, specifically in steel cargo handling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
