About the role:
The Senior Compensation Specialist oversees compensation programs, including salary structures, market benchmarking, and annual pay review cycles. This role conducts internal equity and market competitiveness analyses using data analytics, evaluates job descriptions, and supports compensation processes. The position partners closely with the Compensation team to deliver market analyses and support ongoing projects and initiatives.
What you will do:
- Management and implementation of wage programs for plant employees, salary programs for office employees, and incentive plans for multiple sales-related and general positions. Managing both market and compensation analysis as needed and supporting the business requests requiring alignment.
- Review and manage the job description process for accuracy, use them as a tool to determine salary grade assignments, and review and update the salary structure. Recommends actions needed to be in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards (FLSA) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) policies.
- Supports the administration and has oversight of various compensation programs.
- Supports the assurance of HRIS data integrity by reviewing and correcting per Personnel Action requests, job requisitions, and position management of the system.
- Supports the team and manager with daily company-wide compensation activities and tasks.
- Assists the manager with projects and duties as needed to support the HR Operations team.
When & Where:
Hybrid work schedule: 3 days a week in the office (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday); work Thursday and Friday remotely.
What you need to have:
- 8 years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, or HR analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply marketplace, development & trends to business & HR functions.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws & regulations and the ability to advise on their effects.
- Knowledge of and ability to design, implement, and evaluate compensation programs & policies.
- Knowledge of salary planning tools, job evaluation techniques, and market salary trends.
- Knowledge of incentive and rewards planning tools, techniques, and procedures.
- Experience handling complex issues and sensitive/confidential information.
- Advanced User of Microsoft Excel
What would be nice to have:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is highly valued, or Compensation Management Professional (CMP).
- Proven ability to develop and implement incentive and reward programs.
- Previous experience working with the Paycom HRIS system
- Knowledge or experience using PayScale or similar compensation & pay strategy technology

The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $125,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
