What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler - Utilities Systems position at Logic?
Position Overview
Logic is seeking a Scheduler to support a newly established Program Management Office (PMO) on a large-scale ERP implementation program at a major Northern California utility. This role is critical to the PMO's early standup phase — you will be responsible for building out and maintaining the integrated program schedule, driving scheduling cadence meetings, and translating workstream activity data into a coherent master schedule. You will work directly with multiple workstream leads to gather inputs, resolve conflicts, and provide schedule visibility to program leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and baseline the integrated program schedule across 2–3 active ERP implementation workstreams
- Lead recurring scheduling meetings with workstream leads to capture activity updates, identify slippage, and align on critical path
- Translate inputs from Excel, MS Project, and stakeholder downloads into a structured scheduling framework (P6 or equivalent)
- Build and maintain Power BI-compatible schedule data within the client's Microsoft 365 tenant for dashboard reporting
- Collaborate with the Project Controls Analyst to validate activity data and ensure schedule integrity
- Support the PMO standup by documenting scheduling processes, naming conventions, and reporting cadences
- Produce the Tactical Implementation Plan (TIP) schedule artifacts and maintain version control
- Identify schedule risks and communicate proactively to the PMO Lead
- Leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted tools to automate reporting tasks and improve prompt-driven workflows
- Provide schedule data in formats required for client internal systems and dashboards
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of project scheduling experience, preferably including ERP implementations or large-scale operational technology programs
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, structured data, schedule tracking)
- Familiarity with Power BI for schedule data visualization within Microsoft environments
- Experience working within a PMO or program controls function supporting multiple concurrent workstreams
- Strong facilitation skills — comfortable running scheduling meetings with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs) or similar schedule delivery frameworks preferred
- PMP or PMI-SP certification preferred
- Microsoft 365 / Teams proficiency required; Copilot experience a strong plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with periodic on-site availability in Northern California
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This engagement supports a major Northern California utility in the early standup phase of a PMO overseeing a multi-workstream ERP implementation. The team is building controls infrastructure from the ground up — transitioning from ad hoc Excel-based tracking to a structured scheduling and program controls environment. The Scheduler will serve as a foundational hire in this effort, working alongside a Project Controls Analyst in a two-person controls team. A client-issued computer will be provided.
