Construction Safety Manager – Gas

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support gas infrastructure projects within compressor and storage station environments. This is a 100% onsite role in Moreno Valley or Santa Clarita, CA, focused on ensuring safety compliance, risk mitigation, and adherence to industry and regulatory standards across field operations. This position will support large-scale utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead onsite safety oversight for gas construction projects, including compressor and storage station work.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Lead daily tailboard meetings and document discussions, hazards, and mitigation measures.
• Prepare and submit daily safety reports and documentation within required safety systems.
• Partner closely with construction, field, and project teams to promote a strong safety culture.
• Proactively identify safety concerns and exercise the authority to stop work when unsafe conditions are observed.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety communications.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory records.
• Support continuous improvement in initiatives related to safety programs and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably within utility or gas-related projects.
• Strong field-based safety experience (not solely office-based).
• Proven experience supporting construction activities in gas environments or similar industrial settings.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance practices.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with field teams and stakeholders.

• Experience working in gas compressor or storage station environments.
• Prior experience supporting utility clients or large-scale infrastructure projects.
