Job Description:

• This position will lead a self-contained classroom serving students with disabilities.
• The special education teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs in a supportive, structured environment.
• The role includes academic instruction, behavior management, functional skills training, and collaboration with related service providers and families.

Job Requirements:

• Plan and deliver instruction based on IEP goals and Content Connectors.
• Modify curriculum and differentiate instruction.
• Collect data to monitor student progress.
• Help develop and implement behavioral supports and interventions.
• Supervise and provide direction to classroom support staff.
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings.
Create a safe, structured environment that promotes learning and self-regulation.

Job Qualifications:

• Indiana Mild and/or Intense Special Education Teaching license.
• Experience working in a specialized classroom for students with disabilities.
• Knowledge in creating and implementing IEP's.
• Must complete and clear all Indiana background check requirements for school personnel. Must complete and clear drug screen.
