Parapro-Kindergarten Classroom

Job Description:

• 
  Directly responsible to a classroom teacher and the program supervisor.
• Provide individual/small group instruction as planned by the teacher
• Substitute for Teachers as needed
• 5.75 hrs/day, M-F

Job Requirements:

• 
  Assist in teaching a diverse population of children in an atmosphere of kindness that encourages active inquiry, fosters individual growth and promotes respect for self and others.
• Participate in pre-service and regular In-Service training.
• Provide individual/small group instruction as planned by the teacher.
• Must be energetic, able to multi-task, have patience, and be a team player.
• Must be able to assist children with all grade level academic lessons and assignments.
• Experience with persons with special needs is a plus but not required

Job Qualifications:

• 
  60 college credit hours or Para Pro Certificate.
• Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law
