Job Summary
Are you a compassionate healthcare professional who enjoys working with families and making a difference in your community? Logan County Department of Public Health is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable RN or Registered Dietitian to join our WIC Program as a full-time WIC Coordinator!
The WIC Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the health and well-being of women, infants, and children in our community. This position provides an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients while working with a dedicated public health team.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and provide services through the WIC Program.
- Maintain a caseload of WIC clients.
- Perform client assessments and provide appropriate education and support.
- Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with WIC grant requirements and program guidelines.
- Work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Utilize computers and Microsoft software for daily responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials.
- At least two years of recent nursing experience for RN applicants.
- Strong assessment skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and cooperation in meeting program and grant requirements.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft software.
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and compassionate approach to working with clients.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
