Ethics & Compliance Manager
Baton Rouge, LA $120,000–$150,000 Full-time, on-site, direct hire
A global manufacturer building a major new operation in Ascension Parish is hiring an Ethics & Compliance Manager to build and lead its compliance program from the ground up. You will work directly with plant executives and set the standard for how the company does business in Louisiana.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the ethics and compliance program, including the annual plan, policies, controls and reporting
- Advise executives on compliance risk, conflicts of interest, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption matters
- Run risk assessments, monitoring and testing, and drive remediation
- Manage the ethics hotline and lead internal investigations with Legal and HR
- Oversee third-party due diligence, sanctions screening, and gifts and entertainment controls
- Deliver compliance training and keep audit-ready records
- Manage the company's state and local incentive commitments and reporting, with training provided
- Serve as the primary compliance contact for agencies, auditors and outside counsel
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Business, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, Law, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, legal, audit or risk, including leading a program
- Compliance experience in manufacturing, construction, energy, or a multinational company
- Hands-on experience with anti-bribery and anti-corruption controls, investigations, and third-party due diligence
- Comfort advising senior leaders and handling sensitive matters with discretion
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work across functions and cultures
PREFERRED
- JD, CCEP, CPA, CIA, CFE or a similar credential
- Experience with state or local economic development incentives is a plus
PAY AND BENEFITS
- Salary of $120,000 to $150,000 , depending on experience
