Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Network Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess solid proficiency in routing and switching, firewall administration, SD-WAN, and cloud networking. Reporting to the Manager of Network and Security Engineering, this individual will support and maintain the Firm’s network platforms across a multi-site environment.

Network Engineering Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and provide ongoing support of network systems across corporate, extranet, and cloud environments to meet business performance and availability requirements.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and operational support of routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical network infrastructure; collaborate with application owners to optimize network performance.
• Support SD-WAN deployments and management across Fortinet and Cisco platforms, including troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues.
• Participate in network design discussions and contribute to the evaluation of new technologies that improve architecture, performance, and service delivery.
• Ensure all changes follow appropriate review, change control, and acceptance procedures before implementation.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud networking environments, with a focus on Azure connectivity.
• Assist with hardware installation, racking/stacking, cabling, and physical infrastructure tasks as needed.
• Support the administration and functionality of network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, FortiManager, and cloud portal tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with foundational knowledge of network infrastructure, routing and switching.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs.
• Solid working experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, including policy configuration, VPN setup, and basic administration.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN concepts and deployments, preferably on Fortinet or Cisco platforms.
• Practical experience with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4 , Microsoft AZ-700, or equivalent.
• Experience with ITIL change management processes and working within a structured change control environment.
• Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal guidance while recognizing when escalation or collaboration is needed.
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions aligned with organizational needs and industry standards.
