Hotel Maintenance Technician

Lodging One Hospitality, a leader in hotel development, ownership, management and consulting, is currently hiring for a Hotel Maintenance Technician for the newly built Hampton Inn & Suites, Manhattan, scheduled to open in the fall of 2026. You would ultimately be responsible for the overall daily asset protection by keeping the hotel property's physical structure, grounds, and equipment maintained, safe, and in operable condition. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards, including but not limited to:
- Manage and perform scheduled preventative maintenance solutions in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces as required, including spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, touch-up furniture and ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order.
- Repair or replacing light fixtures.
- Service/repair and maintain hotel PTAC units.
- Inspecting and repairing grout and caulking.
- Maintain, repair and clean all guest room/equipment in accordance with the property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
- Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
- Manages work orders and completes repairs in a timely manner.
- Assists the GM in the repair quote process. Meets with vendors and assists in determining long-term effective solutions for resolve.
- Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Physical Attributes
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
This is a full-time, hourly (FLSA Non-Exempt) departmental role. Salary $20-$22 hourly depending on qualifications, skill set and relevant experience.
