This outpatient cancer center provides specialized hematology and oncology services with comprehensive support from a multidisciplinary team. The facility maintains modern equipment and established protocols for quality cancer care delivery. The center operates with a collaborative approach involving 6 physicians and 6 advanced practice clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

About the Clinician's WorkdayThe hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive cancer and blood disorder care in a predominantly outpatient setting with occasional inpatient call responsibilities. Clinical duties include managing 10-14 patients daily, conducting 2 new consultations per day, and developing individualized treatment plans for hematologic and oncologic conditions. The position requires 1:8 call coverage with weekend rounding responsibilities that involve 2-3 patients taking approximately one hour. Board certification in Hematology/Oncology and prescriptive authority are mandatory requirements for this assignment.
