Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Active Arizona medical license or eligibility via IMLC
- Valid DEA license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OB/GYN experience with labor & delivery
- Ability to provide case logs and recent work history
- COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Ability to complete credentialing within 15–20 days
- Mandatory Cerner EMR training prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive OB/GYN coverage during 24-hour night call shifts as a hospitalist OB/GYN
- Manage labor and delivery cases (average 1–3 deliveries per shift)
- Respond to callbacks and obstetric/gynecologic emergencies (approximately 4–8 callback hours per shift)
- Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing, and ancillary services to ensure high-quality patient care
- Document thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records in Cerner EMR
- Participate in required orientation, credentialing, and Cerner training
