We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Nov 5, 2025, and spans 24 days, providing 24/7 call coverage with 7a-7a shifts. The role includes assisting in surgery with vein harvesting, clinic visits, rounding, and supporting the CT surgeon in the CVOR.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide first assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including vein harvesting
- Cover call duties 24/7 as part of a locum tenens team
- See patients in the clinic and round on inpatients
- Collaborate with the CT surgeon in the CVOR during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks
Additional Information
- Active Nurse Practitioner license required in Virginia
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Cardiac Surgery Certification - Adult (CSC) and Cardiology board certifications required
- Experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, including vein harvesting, strongly preferred
