Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Oregon licensed Nurse Practitioners to support a Hospitalist program in a Critical Access Hospital setting in La Grande, Oregon. This is a low-volume, high-autonomy inpatient role with clearly defined responsibilities and a collaborative care model.
This is an ideal opportunity for experienced Hospitalist APPs seeking a manageable census, structured shifts, and a true provider-driven environment.

Facility Overview
- Critical Access Hospital
- 19 inpatient beds
- 4 ICU beds
- Average daily census: 10–12 patients
- Average admissions: 6–10 per day
Support Model:
- 1 Physician (6a–6p)
- 1 NP (10a–10p)
- 4–5 nursing staff
This is a tight, team-based inpatient model with direct collaboration and clear role delineation.
Practice Environment
- Low to moderate inpatient volume
- Mix of Med/Surg and ICU patients
- No procedural requirements
- Direct physician collaboration during daytime hours
This is a clinical decision-making role, not a procedure-heavy assignment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage inpatient hospitalist census
- Perform admissions and ongoing patient management
- Collaborate with physician and nursing staff
- Coordinate care plans and discharge planning
- Document care within Epic EMR
What We’re Looking For
- Nurse Practitioner (Family or Adult)
- Active Oregon license (required at submission)
- BLS and ACLS required
Experience:
- Hospitalist or inpatient experience required
- Comfortable managing Med/Surg and basic ICU-level patients
- Strong independent decision-making skills
