Power Department Manager
Lock Stock & Barrel, a feed and farm supply store located in Bethany CT, is looking to add a power equipment department manager to our growing team. To be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history, previous experience as a manager, passion for customer service as well as team mentoring. Power Equipment would include: chainsaws, line trimmers, leaf blowers, homeowner tractors, farm tractors, etc.
Power Equipment Department Manager Responsibilities:
- Dedication to customer satisfaction and a great customer experience.
- Assisting customers whenever necessary.
- Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
- Hiring, training and developing new employees.
- Providing leadership and direction to all employees.
- Preparing and presenting employee reviews.
- Working closely with the owners to lead staff.
- Maintaining an overall management style that follows company best practices.
- Ensuring company policies are followed.
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
- Process POS transactions.
- Ensuring that health, safety, and security rules are followed.
- Taking disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ensuring a consistent standard of customer service.
- Motivating employees and ensuring a focus on the mission.
- Maintaining merchandise and a visual plan.
- Maintaining stores to standards, including stocking and cleaning.
- Opening/closing procedures.
- Completing tasks assigned by owners accurately and efficiently.
- Meets with Vendors and Manufacturers to ensure product lines meet demand.
- Order and manage inventory to ensure adequate product is on hand to meet customer demand.
Power Equipment Department Manager Requirements:
- Prior experience as a store manager or previous leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- High school or higher education level.
- Stable work history.
- Must be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Computer literacy.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
