Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Restoration Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for responding to residential and commercial property losses, including water, fire, mold, and storm damage, and performing mitigation and restoration-related tasks. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced, sometimes urgent environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency service calls for water, fire, and storm damage
- Perform water extraction, drying setup, monitoring, and equipment adjustments
- Remove damaged materials (drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, etc.)
- Set up and manage air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and containment
- Perform light demolition and cleanup work
- Assist with mold remediation following industry standards
- Document job progress with photos, notes, and moisture readings
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and supervisors
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule (after-hours and weekends)
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and around damaged structures
- Basic mechanical aptitude and use of hand/power tools
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience in restoration, construction, or mitigation
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT)
- Basic understanding of moisture mapping and drying principles
- Experience working with insurance-driven restoration jobs
