Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily bar operations, including supervising staff and ensuring smooth shift transitions.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
- Handle inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Train and develop team members on food handling, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the bar area.
- Support budgeting efforts by managing cash handling procedures and assisting with cost control initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management, preferably within casual or fine dining environments.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated supervising experience, including staff training, interviewing, and team management.
- Background in food preparation, kitchen management, or culinary experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control practices, and food handling procedures.
- Previous barista or coffee experience can be beneficial but not mandatory.
