Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites or during remodeling projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project activities effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read basic math measurements for precise cuts and fittings; utilize schematics for complex system layouts.
- Execute maintenance tasks on existing plumbing infrastructure to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist in remodeling projects by installing new plumbing fixtures or upgrading existing systems.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to water supply, drainage, or HVAC-related plumbing components.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used; adhere to safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, pliers; power tools including drills and saws and pipe threading machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC systems as they relate to plumbing components.
- Experience working on construction sites with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation or repairs.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work.
- Familiarity with remodeling projects including fixture installation and system upgrades.
- Knowledge of schematics for complex piping layouts; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Valid ND Drivers License.
- Maintenance Person experience or general maintenance skills are advantageous for versatile job functions.
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills; ability to coordinate effectively with other tradespeople.
