Position Overview

Lobel Financial is seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong expertise in JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS and PostgreSQL that are built and run on AWS. Significant hands-on experience working with Claude or similar AI platform is a must. This role will focus on building and integrating workflows across underwriting, servicing, compliance, and internal operations platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering skills with practical experience implementing LLM-powered solutions in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Node.js on the server, modern front-end library/frameworks React/Vue and HTML/CSS.
• Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
• Develop backend services and APIs to be consumed by external applications.
• Build and deploy AI-powered solutions leveraging Claude APIs.
• Develop automation tools to improve underwriting, funding, collections, compliance, and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with business leaders to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through peer review, automated testing, and adherence to development best practices.
• Participate in architectural planning and long-term technology strategy initiatives.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript framework or library Node.js, React, Vue or similar framework preferred.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, SCSS and CSS.
• Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, including performance optimization and data modeling.
• Significant hands-on experience implementing solutions using Claude (prompt engineering, API integration, workflow orchestration, and production deployment).
• Professional experience designing and securing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with distributed source code version control and project management tool GitHub.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and data protection.
• Experience building and deploying applications in AWS cloud.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or auto finance.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with AWS building and deploying tools such as CDK and Copilot.
• Experience working with large datasets, data pipelines, or analytics tools.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven environments.
• Familiar with Docker build and CI/CD pipelines.
  
  

Work Environment

• Preferred: Full-time onsite in Anaheim, CA.
• Remote Option: Available for highly qualified candidates with required monthly travel to Anaheim for in-person collaboration and planning.
