Commercial Lending Associate – Entry Level
Loan Code is looking for a motivated recent college graduate who wants to build a career in commercial lending, business finance, and commercial real estate.
This is an entry-level, full-time, in-office position in Birmingham, Michigan. Prior commercial lending experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is intelligent, organized, professional, eager to learn, and comfortable taking responsibility.
You will work directly with our lending team on real commercial financing transactions, including business acquisitions, commercial real estate, SBA financing, construction, working capital, equipment financing, refinancing, and business expansion.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate with prospective and existing borrowers
- Follow up with new leads and schedule calls
- Collect tax returns, financial statements, applications, and supporting documents
- Review files for missing information
- Keep borrowers organized and accountable for outstanding items
- Maintain accurate deal information in HubSpot
- Track active transactions and important deadlines
- Re-engage prior clients and opportunities
- Communicate with referral partners
- Assist with loan packages and lender submissions
- Help move qualified borrowers from initial inquiry through application, approval, and closing

Who We’re Looking For
- Recent college graduate or early-career professional
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Persistent and comfortable with follow-up
- Professional and confident communicating with business owners
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Responsible, dependable, and eager to learn
- Interested in finance, lending, banking, real estate, or entrepreneurship
