What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakers position at Loafers Bread Company?
Position location - Wexford, PA
Loafers Bread Bakers are part of the early morning production and lunch prep team at our Wexford location. Typical shifts are from 3:30 am -11:30 am.
Responsibilities:
Weighing, shaping, and baking breads.
Lunch prep includes making soups, salads, and sandwich ingredients for service.
Contribute to ensuring that a clean, safe, orderly baking environment is maintained at all times.
Participate in the smooth and timely production of all daily breads while working closely in a team environment. Become proficient in all three stages of bread production, including mixing, table, and oven.
Prepare sweet offerings including but not limited to cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, cookies and granola.
Quality control :
Check all batches as they go out for display to ensure the quality of all baked goods produced. Allow only top quality products to be offered for sale. Pull any substandard product. Adjust numbers and note reason on production/sales log to reflect any product pulled for lack of quality.
Ensure that all bakery production is properly recorded and totaled at the end of daily production on the Production/Sales Log.
Clean bakery equipment and perform regular maintenance.
After the morning baking is complete, finish shift by helping with whatever is needed in the bakery including lunch prep, cleanup, or driving transfers to other Loafers’ bakeries.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience as a baker or a bakery background (preferred).
Ability to work flexible shifts.
Experience working in a fast paced environment.
Self-starter, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Minimum age – 18 years.
