THE ROLE
The Account Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for assigned transportation accounts. You will coordinate daily scheduling and dispatching, monitor vehicle locations in real time, ensure on-time performance, and maintain strong customer relationships from our operations floor in Taylor, MI.
COMPENSATION
Starting: $45,000 Up to $60,000 based on experience
AVAILABLE SHIFTS - Multiple openings available — nights, weekends, and some day shifts.
5 days / 8 hours per day
4 days / 10 hours per day
3 days / 12 hours per day
Nights and weekends are our primary need. Some day shifts available. In-person during training. High-performing employees may earn a flexible remote schedule over time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Serve as the main liaison for assigned transportation accounts, resolving inquiries and service issues promptly
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles according to customer specifications
- Monitor vehicle locations via GPS and make real-time routing adjustments
- Respond to emergencies, delays, or disruptions with speed and accuracy
- Maintain detailed records of driver schedules, routes, and delivery times
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Collaborate across operations, customer service, and logistics teams
- Meet assigned individual KPIs and performance goals
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training in logistics preferred
- 1 to 3 years of dispatching experience in transportation, logistics, or freight preferred
- Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS)
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced operations environment
