Overview:
Spanish Peaks Mountain Club (SPMC) is a premier private mountain club in Big Sky, Montana, featuring a Tom Weiskopf–designed 18-hole championship course, Tom’s 10 short course, elevated food & beverage venues, ski-in/ski-out access, and exceptional year-round outdoor recreation. With more than 500 member families and major investments underway—including the transformational Aspire Club House opening in Summer 2026—SPMC is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead operations, elevate the member experience, and guide the Club into its next phase of growth and excellence.
The General Manager will bring a disciplined commitment to operational excellence while championing creative programming, signature events, and memorable experiences that strengthen the Club’s culture and sense of community.
Position Summary:
Reporting to Lone Mountain Land Company’s Executive Vice President of Hospitality Operations, the General Manager oversees all daily operations, long-range planning, financial performance, capital project coordination, and the overall member and associate experience at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. The GM serves as the Club’s operational and cultural leader—ensuring world-class service standards, consistent execution, innovative programming, and a welcoming mountain-club environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and long-term planning aligned with evolving member needs.
• Champion operational excellence across all departments with consistent, high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and monthly reviews.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing director-level leadership team.
• Ensure exceptional golf, F&B, ski, recreation, wellness, concierge, and outdoor pursuits operations.
• Lead the creation and execution of creative programming, special events, and community-building experiences.
• Act as a primary liaison to Executive Leadership, the Advisory Committee, and community partners.
• Maintain a visible, accessible presence throughout the Club, especially during peak seasons.
• Ensure regulatory, safety, HR, and risk-management compliance across all departments.
• Partner with LMLC Development to prioritize and deliver infrastructure and capital projects, including Aspire.

Strategic Areas of Focus:
• Food & Beverage — Reset & Simplify: Redesign menus, enhance service speed, expand healthy and family-friendly offerings, and elevate breakfast service.
• Golf — Restore Discipline & Enhance Flow: Strengthen marshalling, enforce pace-of-play standards, and enhance on-course member experience.
• Member Experience, Programming & Service Standards: Increase leadership visibility, enhance recognition systems, develop creative year-round programs and signature events, and deliver comprehensive seasonal training.
• Amenity Enhancements: Advance the Aspire Lodge, expand après and wellness spaces, and elevate outdoor pursuits and family/teen amenities.
• Ski Operations & Flow: Improve skier circulation, increase boot room capacity, and enhance winter guest-flow systems.
• Kids & Teens: Expand youth programming, strengthen seasonal camps, and develop dedicated teen spaces and activities.
Qualifications:
• 10 years of senior leadership experience in private clubs, luxury resorts, or lifestyle-oriented hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, advanced industry certifications a plus.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-amenity operations at scale.
• Strong financial acumen, including capital planning and forecasting.
• Track record of delivering innovative programming, seasonal events, and curated member experiences.
• Experience in seasonal, mountain, or resort environments preferred.
