Purpose:
The Crazy Mountain Ranch Agriculture Internship is designed to provide students with immersive, hands-on experience in ranch operations, livestock care, land stewardship, and agriculture management. Interns will work alongside experienced ranch staff to develop practical skills, gain a deeper understanding of sustainable western agricultural practices, and contribute meaningfully to day-to-day ranch functions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn in a beautiful, remote Montana setting while supporting a high-end private property with exceptional operational standards.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist with livestock management, including calving, feeding, monitoring animal health, supporting nutrition plans, and participating in pasture rotation.
Support general ranch and facilities maintenance through fencing, irrigation setup and monitoring, mowing, and weed control.
Safely operate and assist with the maintenance of ranch equipment such as tractors, skid steers, backhoes, trucks, and trailers.
Represent Crazy Mountain Ranch with professionalism, maintaining a strong commitment to safety, ethical conduct, and high service standards.
Collaborate with ranch team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a positive working environment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by livestock and field conditions.
