Overview
We are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual to join our team and learn the ins and outs of residential home construction. Whether you already have construction experience or are looking to start a career in the building industry, we are willing to train the right person.
You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various stages of building a home, from framing and drywall to trim, finishes, and general construction. We are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working with their hands.
No prior experience is required for the right candidate. Construction experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the main structural foundation of residential projects.
- Perform rough carpentry, including framing, structural supports, walls, and other foundational components.
- Complete siding installation and repairs to protect homes from the elements and ensure a quality finished appearance.
- Handle residential remodeling projects from demolition through framing, installation, and finishing.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and measurements to ensure accurate construction.
- Construct, repair, and modify structural components according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with other trades to keep residential projects moving efficiently.
- Measure, cut, and install materials with attention to accuracy and quality.
- Identify structural issues and provide practical solutions during construction and remodeling.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site while meeting project deadlines.
Requirements
- Desired to learn something new
- Ability to read construction plans accurately and interpret technical drawings effectively
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools for woodworking (drills, saws) with a focus on safety
- Experience with drywall installation, rebar installation, metal stud framing, door hanging, and fixture mounting preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with building codes is a plus
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical labor required on active construction sites
- Valid experience in residential carpentry or remodeling projects; experience in restoration industry is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively on diverse projects
