About the Role
We’re looking for a Construction Controller who shares our passion for clarity, confidence, and control.
In this hybrid role, you’ll collaborate closely with LLUM’s leadership and client teams to bring structure and foresight to complex financial environments. You’ll manage client relationships, lead accounting operations, and deliver the kind of insight that empowers builders to make confident decisions.

What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships through proactive communication and thoughtful analysis.
- Serve as a strategic financial partner- translating data into clear, actionable insights.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, month-end and year-end closes, budgets, forecasts, and job costing.
- Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, setting clear expectations and driving continuous improvement.
- Analyze performance and profitability to enhance financial visibility and decision-making.
- Collaborate with CPAs, bankers, and attorneys to support client financial goals.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
- 5 years in accounting or financial management within construction or real estate
- 2 years leading a team of three or more professionals
- Deep knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting
- ERP experience (Sage, Acumatica, Foundation, NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Strong communicator and problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable in hybrid/remote environments and passionate about improvement
Tools You’ll Work With
- Accounting: Sage 50/100/300, Foundation, Acumatica, NetSuite, QuickBooks
- Construction Platforms: Buildertrend, Procore, CMiC (or similar)
- Reporting & Automation: Excel, Power BI, Fathom, Dext, Bill.com, Gusto
