Lincoln Land Community College is currently accepting applications for a WEI/TRIO/PATH Student Worker. This position will offer departmental clerical support and general office functions.Student Workers will perform the following duties:Perform general office duties including answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, responding to emails, filing, copying, and updating calendars.Provide clerical support such as entering data into student databases, creating and maintaining student files, letters, certificates, and tracking forms (e.g., applications and sign-in sheets).Assist with the planning and execution of workshops, orientations, and events, including creation of promotional material & marketing, setup, check-in, photography, and organizing supportive service navigation.Assemble orientation packets and ensure students receive necessary materials and communications.Provide technical assistance to students using LLCC platforms such as Canvas, Logger Central, and other college apps.Meet regularly with Program Staff to brainstorm solutions to student challenges and improve support strategies.Communicate with students through LLCC email and text messaging to share resources, send event reminders, and encourage engagement.Maintain a working knowledge of LLCC support resources and connect students to appropriate services when necessary.Always represent LLCC and the WEI/TRIO/PATH department in a professional, helpful, and student-focused manner.All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.Student Workers will be paid minimum wage and will work no more than 20 hours per week.Requirements include the following:Must maintain satisfactory academic progressMust be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer termComplete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employmentMinimum GPA 2.0Computer competence, including Word and ExcelCandidates will need to have the ability to multi-task, be detailed oriented and keep information confidentialCandidates will be expected to act professionally with all visitors, staff, faculty and studentsAbility to work a flexible scheduleDemonstrated leadership abilityAbility to relate well to diverse populations of students and students from disadvantaged backgroundsFamiliarity with college services and resourcesLLCC strives to create an inclusive workplace and environment for our students, faculty and staff.
