LKS Outfitters is seeking a motivated, adaptable, and hospitality-driven Seasonal Lodge Manager / Chef (July-November) to join our team in the Colorado backcountry at . This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a remote, scenic setting while delivering exceptional experiences for our hunting and outdoor guests.
Position Overview
This dual-role position combines lodge management, meal planning, and cooking with hands-on coordination of daily operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring both our guests and crew are well-fed, comfortable, and taken care of throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
Lodge & Operations Management
- Coordinate and schedule house cleaners and contractors
- Oversee general lodge upkeep and daily operations
- Ensure a clean, welcoming, and organized environment for guests
Food Planning & Preparation
- Shop for all lodge meals, drop camps, and wranglers/guides living in the bunkhouse
- Prepare and cook 2 meals per day (breakfast/dinner) for lodge guests and wash dishes post meals
- Prep all meals for week long drop camps (plan, cook, package)
- Maintain a clean kitchen and dining area at all times
Guest Experience
- Deliver high-quality, memorable dining experiences
- For select high-end clients, create elevated, “next-level” meals and service
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and guest-focused atmosphere
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $2,500 – $3,500/month (DOE), tips, end of season bonus
- Housing provided
- Meals provided
- Work in a remote Colorado lodge located on the outskirts of the White River National Forest
Ideal Candidate
- Strong cooking skills (comfort family style cooking, ability to elevate meals when needed, meal prepping)
- Organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable living and working in a remote location (approx. 1 hour from nearest town)
- Interest in the outdoors—specifically: fishing, hunting, camping, and/or horses
- Positive attitude, self-starter, and team-oriented
Additional Details
Candidate must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background check.
This is a seasonal, full-time position based in a remote lodge setting. Candidates should be prepared for long days, a dynamic work environment, and an immersive outdoor lifestyle.
Flexible start date between 6/1/26 - 7/15/26.
