The Opportunity
We are representing a highly regarded national law firm seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Litigation Associate to join its established practice in Tampa.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an attorney with approximately 4–6 years of litigation experience and a strong background in labor and employment law.
The successful candidate will work on sophisticated employment disputes, assume responsibility for litigation matters and collaborate with experienced attorneys in a well-established practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle labor and employment litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and other litigation documents.
- Conduct depositions and assist with hearings and court proceedings.
- Represent employers in employment-related disputes and administrative proceedings.
- Advise clients on employment law issues, litigation risks and dispute resolution.
- Manage multiple matters independently while collaborating with colleagues on complex cases.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and provide commercially focused advice.
Candidate Requirements
- Approximately 4–6 years of litigation experience.
- Demonstrable experience handling labor and employment matters.
- Active Florida Bar licence in good standing.
- Experience drafting pleadings, managing discovery and handling depositions.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage litigation independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent academic credentials and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
