Structural Engineering Co-op Essential Functions
- Assist with design and engineering tasks focused on fall protection systems and related structural solutions.
- Perform routine structural engineering assignments under close supervision, using established standards, procedures, and drawings in accordance with industry best practices.
- Gain exposure to the full design process, including both office-based planning and documentation as well as field-based assessment and support.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support technical design efforts, calculations, and documentation.
- Contribute to engineering reports, sketches, and CAD/BIM drawings under the guidance of senior staff.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING CO-OP ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
- Required: Currently enrolled in a Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program at an accredited university.
- Required: Must be entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies at the time of the co-op.
- Prior academic or internship experience with structural design projects preferred.
- Familiarity with structural design software is required; experience with Revit is strongly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Required: U.S. citizenship
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to navigate uneven terrain, ladders, and scaffolding as part of site visits.
