POSITION OVERVIEW: As a HSE Specialist at LJA HSE, you will be responsible for providing daily support to the HSE Fleet Safety Program, compliance, and onboarding, including company drug and alcohol programs.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Providing support for fleet safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ensuring fleet compliance with LJA standards and external requirements
- Conducting HSE fleet driver and drug & alcohol database audits
- Assisting with maintaining safe driver training programs
- Scheduling and follow-up on onboarding processes including assigning HSE drug & alcohol tests and running motor vehicle reports
- Maintaining compliance of the LJA driver authorization process, including drug & alcohol screening and MVR reports
- Maintaining database of all authorized company drivers
- Assisting with insurance claims related to fleet incidents
- Any other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Occupational Safety and Health or Equivalent Experience
- HSE certification (preferred)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 years HSE experience
- 1 years Fleet Safety
- Must be able to work independently and also as part of small multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organization skills, time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Must communicate effectively and be proactive in support of problems and solutions
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office
