Duties
- Prepare and set up the breakfast area, including food stations, coffee service, and dining tables.
- Ensure all food items are fresh, well-stocked, and presented attractively.
- Assist guests with their breakfast selections, providing information about menu items and accommodating special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area by bussing tables, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest inquiries or concerns.
- Handle phone inquiries related to breakfast services with professionalism and courtesy.
- Monitor food safety standards and report any issues to management promptly.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to enhance overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Skills in meat cutting and cooking are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and service techniques.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact positively with guests.
- Ability to build rapport with guests through effective guest relations practices.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
