We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal surfaces, ensuring durable and visually appealing finishes. Duties
- Prepare surfaces through painting surface preparation techniques, including sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion
- Operate powder coating equipment and spray guns with precision, maintaining consistent application standards
- Interpret production documents and specifications to determine coating requirements and procedures
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and hand tools, adhering strictly to safety protocols and PPE guidelines
- Conduct visual color comparisons to ensure color accuracy and consistency across finished products
- Perform routine maintenance on spray guns, machinery, and tools to uphold quality standards in production finishing
- Follow safety protocols diligently by proper PPE
Qualifications
- Previous experience in powder coating, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and quality standards in production
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and basic machine troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as work orders and production instructions
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, machining, assembly or construction painting surface preparation is advantageous
