Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout project lifecycle
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving issues proactively
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Manage procurement and delivery of materials and equipment
- Prepare detailed project reports and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects ranging from $2M to $20M
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Experience with retail, hospitality, or commercial tenant fit-out projects preferred
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites in NJ, NY, and MA
- OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- PMP or CCM certification is a plus
