Accounts Payable Analyst

Project Expedition, a fast-growing travel startup, is hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team. This candidate would be joining our small accounting team, where there is room to take on additional responsibility as the role and company grow. This is a full-time, remote position, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

At Project Expedition, we connect people with the best tours and activities around the world, and this role will support our efforts to ensure that our industry partners are paid accurately and in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, reconcile, and process all invoices
• Process commission payments for affiliate partner
• Work with vendors to resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies
• Track and manage foreign exchange risks
• Assist the Accounting Team with chargebacks and payment disputes
• Develop, implement, and optimize accounts payable processes
• Assist with bookkeeper inquiries and periodic audits
  
  
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Minimum of 1 year of direct or similar accounts payable experience
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multitask and handle a large volume of invoices
• Extremely strong attention to detail
• An ability to work well independently and be a self-starter
• Familiarity with foreign currencies and international payments
• A passion for problem solving and producing high quality work
• Proven time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in arithmetic and fundamental accounting operations

Please note that while this role is remote, this position is not suitable for digital nomads.
