Job Description
ROLE TITLE: Administrative Assistant for Senior Pastor
REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor
REQUIREMENTS:
Typical weekly hours -Sunday-Thursday. (Hours may fluctuate)
- Sunday 6 hrs
- Monday 8 hrs
- Tuesday 8 hrs
- Wednesday 8 hrs
- Thursday 8 hrs
- Evenings/Weekends 2-4 hrs
With some exceptions, evenings/weekends are limited to 2 nights a week at most. Evening hours include but are not limited to:
- Evening Film Meetings & Trainings
- 1st Wednesday 6-9pm
- Evening Leadership Meetings
- Evening Church Wide Events
*Filming weeks will be 12-14 hours per day.
PURPOSE:
The Assistant to the Senior Pastor is responsible for supporting the Senior Pastor in various aspects of ministry. This role involves being available during church services, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with the smooth running of church operations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and possesses a heart for service.
Seeing that the Senior Pastor is also a Film Producer, this position would also have the role of the Assistant to the Film Producer in Living Word Studios.

- Highly Detail-Oriented: Able to keep up with details of numerous projects and tasks.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with church staff and members.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think on your feet and solve issues as they arise.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing needs and tasks as the ministry evolves.
- Positive Attitude: Approach all tasks with a can-do attitude and a spirit of service.
- Heart for Ministry: A passion for serving the church and supporting the Senior Pastor's vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service Support: Be present during church services to assist the Senior Pastor with any needs that may arise, helping to manage details and logistics. This includes setting up, supporting volunteers, and ensuring everything is ready for the service.
- Weekday Task Management: Execute tasks assigned by the Senior Pastor with excellence, timeliness, and a positive attitude. Tasks will include but are not limited to such things as
- Assist in the day-to-day administrative tasks
- Setting up for, and taking minutes at meetings
- Tech support and implementation
- Film Studio data entry and spreadsheet management.
- Loyalty and Discretion: Maintain confidentiality and loyalty to the Senior Pastor, understanding the sensitive nature of church operations and leadership.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other church staff and volunteers, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
- Propose Ideas and Solutions: Be proactive in identifying and addressing issues that may affect church services or operations and suggest solutions.
- Finger on the Pulse: Help keep the Senior Pastor's finger on the pulse of what is happening in the ministry.
Whatever it Takes: Be willing to do whatever it takes to help accomplish the mission and vision of the church.
All positions at Living Word Family Church require regular, in person, attendance of the Sunday Worship service. Additionally, attendance at the weekly All Staff Meeting is required for all employees.
