Job Title: Part-Time Preschool Teacher's Assistant
Overview:
Living Savior Preschool is an outreach extension of Living Savior Church. Our preschool offers a structured, play-based learning program in a nurturing Christian environment. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, patient individual who understands developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 3-5. Prior experience working with children strongly preferred. We are looking for staff who desire to assist children in developing to their highest potential. Ability to work and collaborate with a teaching team is a must.
We are located in south Asheville off Long Shoals Rd. Our staff hours are 7:45-1:30 with some flexibility on days and hours per shift. Position is approximately 12-18 hrs/wk. Start date TBD in the month of August.
Responsibilities:
-Support teachers in the preparation and implementation of lessons, activities & materials.
-Supervise & support children in meaningful play experiences, both indoors & outdoors.
-Collaborate with the staff to maintain a safe & clean learning environment.
-Work as part of a team with other teachers, administrators, and support staff.
-Follow state regulations and standards as they pertain to the early childhood setting.
Required to complete the following:
-Fingerprinting
-Background check
-First Aid/CPR/AED certification
-TB test
-16 hours of onboarding/introductory training
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Experience:
- Preschool teacher's aide: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- First Aid/CPR/AED (Required)
- DCDEE background check & Finger printing (Required)
