Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence among children.
• Support children with special educational needs through early intervention techniques and individualized lesson adjustments.
• Conduct assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones to inform instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children’s progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on child welfare and development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations for daycare and preschool settings.

• Must be able to speak Spanish fluently (spoken and written preferred).
• Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods.
• Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and other core subjects aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
