JOB SUMMARY

As an Environmental Technician at LIVIC Civil, you’ll play a critical role. This person will be a self-motivated, professional who can confidently work with a variety of people from different backgrounds within the Civil Engineering field. We’re looking for an organized, proactive individual who is a quick study and can communicate effectively, manage shifting priorities, and tackle complex challenges. Someone who is proactive, curious and willing to experiment with emerging tools and technologies to enhance our business and project workflow efficiencies while we aim to develop you professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage environmental projects.
• Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
• Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretations of findings to include wetland and stream delineations, soil surveys, plant identification, etc.
• Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines
• Effectively organize, write and edit draft proposals, reports and other documents.
• Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients.
• Coordinate other work groups across office locations and disciplines on an as-needed basis.
• Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others.

Qualifications

• • 2 years of experience
  • Wetland delineation experience required - completion of Certified Wetland Delineation training, Wetland Permitting Training, Wetland Plant ID training, etc.
  • Ability and desire to become a Professional Wetland Scientist preferred.
  • Clean Water Act Section 404/401 permitting experience a plus.
  • Preparation of various state and federal permits associated with waters obstructions and encroachments.
  • Proficient in aquatic resource delineations
  • Proficient in aquatic resource crossing permit preparations
  • Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and technical analyses
  • Comprehensive understanding of Pennsylvania regulatory requirements
  • Desire to learn a wide variety of disciplines
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Microsoft Office software proficient

• Preferred:
• • CADD or GIS experience a plus
  • Hand-held GPS experience preferred
