What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Practice Obstetrics Provider position at LiveWell Homecare Agency?
The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care.
- Deliver full-spectrum family medicine, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
- Perform obstetric services such as prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries, and postpartum follow-up.
- Care for newborns and pediatric patients as part of family-centered care.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered activities.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach, call rotations, and after-hours coverage.
- Participate in hospital call schedule for labor and deliveries, including weekends and after hours.
Qualifications: MD or DO degree, completed Family Medicine residency, additional obstetric training or competency, current unrestricted license, board certification or eligibility, and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO preferred.
