Role Overview:
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. They perform various imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, ensuring accurate image transfer and record-keeping in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups.
- Produce high-quality images and reformat images for radiologist review.
- Utilize PACS and teleradiology systems for image transfer.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensure data integrity, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and manage supply inventory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-RT or ARRT-CT) required.
- Advanced CT certification required in certain states; preferred in others.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Venipuncture and fluoroscopy licenses are preferred in some locations.
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
