What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medication Aide - Full Time Evening position at Live Well Homecare?
We are seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily activities under supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering age-appropriate physical and psychological care based on individual care plans
- Assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital sign recording
- Providing psycho-social support and personal care
- Helping residents with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises
- Supporting meal and snack service, and assisting with food preparation
- Administering prescribed medications as delegated, documenting outcomes, and reporting changes to the charge nurse
- Collecting non-invasive specimens and vital signs
- Supporting housekeeping, laundry, wellness, and recreational activities
- Participating in departmental committees and quality improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum age of 18 preferred
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Completion of state-specific CNA and medication aide certification requirements
- Annual continuing education and certification maintenance
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if applicable
