- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT); candidates prior to 2015 may have relevant education standards
- Preferred: one year of clinical experience
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety days of hire
- Licensed Physical Therapist and Licensed Occupational Therapist from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification
