What You’ll Do

  • Greet patients with warmth and professionalism during check-in/check-out.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage inquiries.
  • Register patients, verify insurance details, and process payments.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist providers and staff with administrative support as needed.
  • Keep the office environment organized, clean, and welcoming.
  • Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • Proven experience in a medical office setting, either as a Medical Receptionist or in an administrative role.
  • High School diploma required.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance aspects such as copay, coinsurance, deductible, etc.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR), with Athena and Solv being a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high patient volumes.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Understanding of medical terminology and EMR systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficient with common PC applications, including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Occasionally required to walk.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds).
  • Finger dexterity required.
  • Hand coordination required.
