Duties
- Assist with the setup and operation of equipment such as bucket trucks, chainsaws, and rigging tools to facilitate safe tree care activities
- Support arborists during tree trimming, pruning, and removal projects by handling tools, securing rigging lines, and managing debris cleanup
- Assist with tree pruning care to promote growth and safety
- Prepare work sites by clearing obstacles, laying out safety barriers, and ensuring all tools are maintained and ready for use
- Support maintenance tasks including lgeneral site cleanup to uphold aesthetic standards
- Operate bucket trucks / skid steer safely under supervision for elevated work tasks while adhering to safety protocols
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for team members
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of tree care practices including tree trimming, pruning, stump grinding
- Experience with bucket operation and rigging techniques for safe elevated work
- Ability to operate chainsaws safely and perform minor maintenance as needed
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in tree service operations
