- Provide individual/group counseling services to students that focus on social emotional skill building.
- Provides crisis intervention support for students and collaborates with staff regarding students in crisis.
- Collaborates with educators regarding social emotional strategies to implement with individual students and small groups.
- Participates in the MTSS process by assisting educators in identifying targeted social emotional interventions for individual students.
- Create and manage students’ 504 plans.
- Collaborate with various community agencies in order to connect students and their families with services they may need.
- Provide consultative services to parents/guardians.
- Provide educational information and assistance regarding appropriate individual student placement in school programs.
- Participate in a professional learning community in order to continue to learn and grow as a mental health professional.
- Participate in the development of student schedules, which includes collaborating with school administrators and registrar regarding the master schedule, meeting with students regarding registration, and creating student schedules.
- Update and maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development as required by school, district, state and federal policies, regulations and laws.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Uses a variety of counseling strategies to establish relationships and collaborate with students, educators, families, and community partners, which reflect recognition of and respect for each individual. Coordinates and supports the implementation of school wide social emotional programming.
